its a boxer engine. i read in top gear that there might be a ft-86 turbo version. but toyota has not leaked any details. so far it will be a small, drifter, and surprisingly excellent enough for rally. but who knows, i hope they have a turbo AWD. excellent news it’s suppose to be under 20,000$.

That boxer engine is enought since the car never rely on hoursepower but on it’s torque. For those that have no clue watz torque, use a dictionary. As long as this car is lightweight and pushes 250hp that’s all that matters
this is a concept but its been lookin the same for like i reckon 2yrs now i heard they were remakin the supra and basicaally thats what its suppose to be basically but anyway looks awesome hoppefully i can pull 20000$ for this baby

to me the ft86 sounds more like a 4AG instead of a boxer…the way it should be
i wish they would of kept their ancient ft-hs instead with the 450hp v6 hybrid(i reckon it was a v6)
they canned the ft-hs to this yeah and its probably only gonna cost around 20000usd thats quite a nice price for a car like that…but i liked the looks and “feel” about the ft-hs more

To make this car, they took the look from the FT-HS( future toyota hybrid sport) and the the lexus IS-F…soo pretty but they have to place in a l6 twin turbo…same as supra…that will rocks soo much!

Looks pretty dope but I reckon they canned the FT-Sh concept car for this. I THINK, I’m not sure. But I reckon this is pretty sick. I also hear there’s no turbo version in the U.S. lame, but I’m still gonna get one

should be since they’ve discontinued the supra. I also hope they don’t place a stupid S badge on it. We’ve all seen a Corolla S, and it doesn’t stand for Sport; more like Spoiler, which is really the only difference between the S and the LE/CE.
I have to agree with JoshuaBlaziken. Toyota spent all this time after discontinuing the supra and THIS is all they came up with? Another damn four cylinder engine car? Granted, its has a subaru engine, but from what I’ve read its supposed to produce only 170 horsepower, which is the same as the corolla XRS. I only hope that toyota grows a pair, and puts a V6 in this thing if it hits production. Toyota’s kept us waiting too damn long for something that really represents what a sports car
its not really a new chassis, it is a modified Legacy chassis that it sits on.
and a modified 2.0L Impreza motor, modified and tuned by Toyota for the D-4S dual fuel injection system that you see at :33 sec. and said to be matted to the STI transmission. the performance variant is to recieve the STI set up, AWD, tranny and 2.5L turbo motor with the same D-4S set up.
